In the Foundations Class learn progressions of the core movements and our approach so you can begin weekly classes on the 2 Weeks Unlimited trial.
Upon signup, you'll receive an intake form via text and we'll set up a time that works for you for the Foundations Session.

Our Approach
Rather than just exercise, we regularly practice skills that build over time as you do. Every skill is broken down into small, achievable steps, ensuring continuous progress for students of all backgrounds. We emphasize mindful movement and intentional practice. Our focus includes developing spatial awareness, coordination, and effective ground movement.
We encourage practicing at the edge of your capabilities without just a fatigue seeking goal. Think of it as adult recess with seriously effective results.
What to know before your first Class
Classes are barefoot, but if you prefer shoes, wear them.
For your first class, arrive early to introduce yourself
There is plenty of on street parking nearby, we are near bus stops, and the intercity cycle way.
We are interested in growth, so come with a sense of adventure and humour, a willingness to move and challenge your body with new and unusual things.

These workshops run on a Saturday at the beginning of each month and are our recommended entry point for anyone beginning a movement practice at Totum
Entry level strength, skill, conditioning, partner games, and soft mobility are all a part of the 2 hour Movement Practice Intro workshop.
Equally important is your introduction into the how and why of the practice.
Our purpose is to practice movement in order to feed our innately complex, creative, and intelligent bodies and then take that body knowledge into the outside world and throughout our daily activities. This is the place where you can develop your human capacities and search for joy as a mover.
The content in the class will align with the current skills and programming but the pace and progression of the skills taught will be approachable for beginners, and for current members wanting to refine the foundations.
Once you complete the Movement Practice Intro workshop, jump on our Welcome Pass - 14 Days Unlimited for $40 and continue.

At Totum, we incorporate play into every class through Movement Situations and Movement Games, encouraging focused play where you can be fully present and enjoy the moment. This is powerful medicine for both body and mind.
